Disc coupler
Disc coupler
The disc coupling usually consists of two aluminum hubs and one or two stainless steel discs. The metal disc is very thin and when misalignment occurs, the metal disc will easily bend, allowing for minimal deviation. It is a high performance shaft coupling method, known for its high strength, long service life, and better misalignment absorption ability.
BRS Engineering provide this type for printer application since they behave better than low cost spyder coupler, and provide a perfect torque transmission with a high concentricity.
Type: Dual disc
Benefits:
- Allows angular parallel and axial misalignment
- Is a true limited end float design
- A zero backlash design
- High speed rating and balance
- Better suited to NEMA and SERVO actuators
