BRS intake kit for Lotus Exige S1 

This conical reducer was designed to optimize the airflow intake of the VHPD airbox by acting directly on the side intake diameter.
The goal is simple: to make the airflow active, not passive.

Principle

• Reduction from a 150 mm diameter to 110 mmn then filtered in the 150mm diameter custom airbox• This controlled narrowing allows a slight acceleration of the airflow before it enters the airbox
• The airflow becomes more dynamic and better directed toward the intake trumpets, instead of a slow, diffuse air volume

Installation & integration
• The airbox is mounted at the entrance of the VHPD airbox, the silicon adaptation fits natively
• The silicon hi-temp hose goes to the second reductor on the side
• This reductor integrates perfectly with the Lateral Side Scoop Intake
• Both elements fit together and are simply secured with a clamp

“Air intake mouth” effect

The assembly works like a progressive intake mouth:
• creation of an initial controlled air volume
• acceleration of the airflow through the duct into the airbox
• more consistent feeding of the enlarged BRS intake trumpets

• It is completly compatible with the airbox extension for longer trumpets, a part hardly available now but will be remade at BRS in a near future for a better availability

A temp sensor can be screwed in the airbox to get readings if needed. The hole can be open, redrille and threaded to your convenience, either for Metric or Imperial temp sensor fillets type.
